Our commitment

CoPilot Data is used by school district staff, and it should be usable by all of them. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by Section 508 and by most Texas district procurement.

Current conformance status

CoPilot Data is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the product do not yet fully meet the standard. We are stating this plainly rather than claiming full conformance we have not verified.

How we test

We run automated accessibility testing (axe-core, WCAG 2.0/2.1 A and AA rulesets) against our marketing site and the application. Automated testing catches a meaningful share of issues but not all of them; we have not yet completed a full manual audit with assistive technology.

Known issues

As of September 22, 2026, we are aware of and working on:

• Color contrast on marketing pages. Our brand accent color does not meet the 4.5:1 contrast minimum against white for body text. Remediation in progress.
• No completed manual audit. We have not yet tested the full application with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) or completed a keyboard-only traversal of every screen.
• No published VPAT. See below.

Recently resolved:

• Form fields on the sign-in screen had no programmatic label, leaving them unnamed for screen reader users. Fixed September 22, 2026; labels are now correctly associated across the application's shared input component.

VPAT

We do not yet publish a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT). We would rather have no VPAT than an inaccurate one. A VPAT based on a real evaluation is on our roadmap. Districts that require one as a condition of purchase should contact us so we can discuss timing.

Feedback and accommodation

If you encounter an accessibility barrier in CoPilot Data, tell us and we will work with you on a remedy, including providing the information in an alternate format while we fix the underlying issue.

CoPilot Data is a web application supporting current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Accessibility relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA.
